35mm Equipment

I use mainly Canon equipment.  Most of the early photographs on this site were taken with a Canon EOS-3 with a 28-135 3.5-5.6 Imaged Stabilized lens from Canon.  I also have a 50mm 1.4 Canon lens in the EOS mount.

Older Canon equipment includes two AE-1 bodies, and lenses in FD mount as follows: 35mm, 85mm, 135mm, and 200mm.  Also a Tamron 500mm mirror lens with Adaptal mount for the AE-1 bodies.  Also an Elan 7 body with 100-300 zoom lens and a Rebel GII with 28-90mm 3.5-5.6 zoom.

In November 2005 I obtained a Canon 5D camera body as my first digital capture camera.

For converting 35mm film to digital files I use a Nikon Super Coolscan 4000.

I use a Canoscan D2400U for flatbed scanning.

I have a number of printers, all Epson.  These were obtained in an effort to get black and white photographs without color shifts or bronzing.  The last printer on this list finally achieved that goal.

  • Epson 2000P
  • Epson 2200
  • Epson R800
  • Epson 4800

For rangefinder cameras I have a non-functional Leica CL (broken meter) which I purchased with the 40mm and the 90mm lenses.  I now use these lenses with a Leica M7, though I don't like rangefinder cameras as well as SLR cameras.

4 x 5 Large Format

I bought a Horseman 4 x 5 rail camera 25 years ago and it is in like new condition as I have not used it much.  I plan on using it more now.

I bought 3 lenses with the camera: 90mm, 150mm, and 210 mm.

Misc.

Small daylight flourescent lights, Canon 550EX flashes, Lumasix 3 meter, Cambron Digital spotmeter, various filters for 35mm, and some Canon attachments.
